Our friends at Montana Public Radio have come up with a great way to help themselves while also helping our neighbors in need. This coming week, starting at 6 a.m. Wednesday, KUFM will launch a three-day, on-air membership drive – with a twist. Rather than the thousands of “premiums” offered donors during the radio station’s spring fundraiser, [...] It’s one of the curiosities of the media: the fundraising that helps pay the bills at public radio stations. Kind of makes me wonder if we should have a bake sale to pay for the next few truckloads of ink down here at the newspaper!
