We’re giving Glacier a photo album for its birthday
Sherry and Conor, Avalanche Lake, Glacier National Park
I’ve got dozens of photos of my kids and me in Glacier National Park over the past 25 years, and I never tire of looking through them: my son feeding a wildflower to a pica at Logan Pass when he was still a toddler; my daughter in the big old blue canoe as we drifted along the shore of Lake McDonald; the three of us at Avalanche Lake on a snowy-rainy-blustery Memorial Day not that many years back.
Now we’re looking for your favorite photos of Glacier National Park, be they scenic or family pics or wildlife or some combination of the three.
It’s all part of our plan for covering Glacier’s centennial for the Missoulian and Missoulian.com. We’re going to take your favorite photos and compile a tribute to the park by the people who know, and love, it best.
If you would like to submit a photograph, please include the photographer’s name, the date and the place in the park it was taken. A short description with names of anyone in the photograph is optional.
We prefer electronic submissions sent to annec@missoulian.com. If you can only send a print, please send a copy that you do not need returned to Anne Cruikshank, Newsroom, Missoulian, P.O. Box 8029, Missoula, MT 59807.
I’ll keep you posted on the collection, and let you know when the gallery is up and running at Missoulian.com.
And, of course, I’ll keep looking back through all those old family photos – and thinking about all the ones yet to come!
