The competition hasn’t even started yet, and already I’m enjoying the stories, photos and videos out of the 2010 Winter Games. Vancouver, and the downhill courses at Whistler, are going to be a great Olympic venue – one we’re happy to bring you in print and online over the next 18 days.
Beginning Thursday, you’ll find a full extra page of Olympics coverage in the Missoulian Sports section each day, with other coverage sprinkled throughout the newspaper. Each day on A2, we’ll publish a favorite Olympic moment – a brite from the day’s events.
Online, you’ll find an entire site devoted to interactive media, stories, photos, videos, charts, galleries, blogposts – literally everything to be seen or heard at the Vancouver Olympics.
My favorite story so far? The bobcat that wandered out onto the downhill and luge courses on Wednesday. The kitty had no idea the number of eyes on his – or her? – little Olympic adventure. Or maybe he knew exactly what was happening – and just didn’t care!
Meow! Let the Games begin …
