I’m the editor of the Missoulian, the daily newspaper in Missoula, Montana. I’ve worked at the Missoulian since September of 1979, except for a few years spent reporting for the Associated Press, Spokane Chronicle and Spokesman-Review in the mid-1980s. Before becoming editor, I covered the environment and natural resources for the Missoulian for 25 years.
I am a journalism graduate of the University of Colorado, with minors in geology and political science. I have two grown children: Conor, who teaches fourth grade at Challenger Elementary in Victorville, Calif.; and Kelly, who is a second-year law student at the University of Montana School of Law.
MissoulaEditor.com is an opportunity for readers of the Missoulian and Missoulian.com to ask questions about (and comment on) our coverage and suggest stories, and for me to tell readers about the stories behind the stories, my favorite photos and stories, upcoming coverage, newsroom comings and goings, and whatever else this blog may evolve into. I look forward to hearing from you here, on MissoulaEditor, or by e-mail at email@example.com.
